Oh no! Is Conemu getting deprecated?

Hi all,

I have used Conemu for nearly ten years. It was the best terminal emulator you can get. I am an Admin of Windows and Unix, I really liked the integration with Cygwin, Powershell and CMD and all those shortcuts you could define.

Now, it seems, that Conemu doesn't get any updates since two years. Is the project abandonned?
I have openened a ticket two years ago ( #2527 ), this issue is still there.

Now, I have settled to Windows Terminal. No issues, but a hell to configure. I really miss Conemu. Is this project still alive?

Nonetheless, thank you for your work in all those years! Best terminal emulator ever!

The author has been inactive for a long time now. Back in its hayday, ConEmu was the best terminal emulator you could ask for on Windows, during a time that the original conhost.exe and its predecessors were truly horrible. Since then, Microsoft has done several improvements to the conhost.exe, and then they introduced WT and made it the built-in terminal emulator on Windows 11 that you could also set as default.

The time have passed, and while we truly appreciate all the work that @Maximus5 did, if they choose to no longer continue the project, I think we can all live with it.

The Cmder project for one, might soon be replacing ConEmu with Windows Terminal, too:
