'Case-insensitive match' between two different files

I want to know why exactly the files "v1.0.0" and "v2.0.0" are a POSIX match.
Maybe I'm missing something but are these not different names, even if handling them "case-insensitive?

I am unsure why this is happening - as this is a definitive comparison that occurs ..
