Restoring VM image from snapshot

Is it possible to restore the main VM image from a working snapshot?, I have a snapshot that works fine, but the main image (the one is used when the non restore option is used) seems like is corrupted and asking for a reinstall witch doesn't work, the snapshot works just fine so i´m looking for a way to use its state to fix the main one.

I've encountered this same problem I think?

in my case:

• VM hangs at black screen during boot
• Restore from snapshot which works fine
• Reboot (now diverging from snapshot) and prompted for recovery mode/reinstall

Oh interesting, I see this in the 1.5 release notes:

once a state has been saved, I recommend always starting up from a saved state, otherwise you may encounter VM corruption

This is a known issue that I'm working on. Initial work has been done in #481, but additional work is still in progress due to some UX complications (see last comment in that pull request).
