Code editor: accented characters have the wrong color

Describe the bug

Accented characters (and numerals right after them) have a different font color than non-accented ones in the code editor (except in the frontmatter).

I think that this has been introduced by #1633.

Expected behavior

Accented characters have the same font color than non-accented ones.
