how to add custom icons to architecture diagrams within markdown documents

HI all, I'm in the process of trying to make some AWS diagrams in markdown, for display in github. I can see that the Architecture diagrams do allow for custom/additional icons if loaded in. I'm not sure how to do this for my use case though.

What do I need to do to enable getting the right icons? Also is it possible like with other diagrams to set a custom image src?
