Hey everyone —
Curious to know if anyone here has experimented with using Visual Studio Code as a lightweight CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system — either for personal use, startups, or small team operations?
I’m specifically interested in whether you’re using VS Code-based workflows (e.g., file structures, extensions, markdown-based notes, Git integration) to track:
• Client data or interactions
• Sales pipelines or deal stages
• Notes, tasks, follow-ups
• Custom contact management setups
Would love to hear:
• How you’re structuring it (any particular file/folder layout or system?)
• Any extensions/plugins you’re leveraging to support the workflow
• If you’re syncing with GitHub, Notion, Obsidian, Airtable, etc.
• What challenges or limitations you’ve hit
• Whether you’d recommend it or if it’s more of a novelty setup
Looking to explore a minimal, customizable, local-first CRM experience — so any insights or links would be 🔥
