debian packaging

Hi! I realized there is no PPA, .deb or anything similar for an easy installation in debian based systems. Is there a particular reason for this or there just has never been anyone interested in packaging it? I couldn't find any old issues about this so I though this could be a good place to ask.

I believe a couple of people have tried packaging this for Debian before: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=970393

The last time, someone told me I needed to provide a manpage to make it compatible with Debian's policies, so I added one and replied. I didn't get an answer though.

As an update: it does seem like progress is being made, as I got an email reply in October. They've already packaged dependencies like pkg/diff and editorconfig: https://qa.debian.org/[email protected]
