For 'production readiness' of a solution, it would be much better to utilize PostgreSQL operator in contrary to the Deployment

Zalando PostgreSQL operator is likely to be most well-maintained at current moment in time
Some of the alternatives are
CrunchyData/postgres-operator
Cloudnative-pg
