Finding font mappings / hashes for icon fonts other than FontAwesome

Hello,

I want to use icons fonts other than FontAwesome in my application. I see that the person using FontAwesome used this: https://github.com/juliettef/IconFontCppHeaders/blob/main/IconsFontAwesome5.h

but the script in that github repo was made for FA files, not the one I want to use (sf-pro-icons). How can I find icon mappings, and ICON_MIN_FA / ICON_MAX_FA as done in the header above?

Hello, i am afraid the question is not specifically an dear imgui question.
I would assume someone would need to find a source for this data and add support in the IconFontCppHeaders repository.

Hey ocornut (and anyone else reading this),

after some research I figured out how to do this. (not sure how to close this so you can if you'd like).

1. install the .ttf font
2. find the first icon. In my case it's U+EA07:
   
3. find the last icon. In my case it's U+F8FF:
   
4. Add two macros to a header file:
   
5. Choose an icon and convert the unicode to UTF-8 code units. I use https://r12a.github.io/app-conversion/.
6. Add a macro for that as well:
   
7. load the font, using a config like this:

icons_config.MergeMode = true;
icons_config.PixelSnapH = true;

sizeof(sf_pro_display),
16.f,
&icons_config,
icon_ranges

IM_ASSERT( IconFont != nullptr );

8. Now you can use the icons you define as C-Style Literals and concatenate them!!
