Hi, I couldn't find an explanation for it in the docs, what's the difference between these two images?

I was asking this same question recently and I didn't understand @ophub's answer. It seems to use a different dtb ie not the X96 Max Plus .dtb like the regular S905X3 images. I dunno if anything else is different?

I think it's a different mainboard.

different mainboard

"s905x3" and "s905x3-b" are different devices. The BOARD name is an abbreviation, and each different BOARD name is a device's abbreviation. Sometimes the SOC name is used, and sometimes SOC+BOARD is used.

These two are the names of their SOC.
