Strange. works fine fine for me on Ubuntu, observe glitches only on openSUSE: and not only on videos but also on regular posts with images while scrolling. Have the latest Nvidia drivers.

Reproducible even without a video for blank page - part of the desktop background inside the glitches:

getting this on the telegram flatpak on linux mint 22.1

on top of that another issue where telegram's notifications r offset to the right (so if i have them on the right side of the screen they're cut off as they go past the edge of the screen, and if i have them on the left side they're spaces much farther away from the taskbar than they should be), i have a left side taskbar and i'm not sure if that's what's triggering the bug with the notifications

this is on an AMD framework 13 laptop

Same issue on Ubuntu 24.04 and Debian 12. Both on x11.
It's not related to video, on the artifacts you can see pieces of windows located behind telegram.

Exactly: window or desktop whatever is behind.

I found that the artifacts are related to the new paid emoticons in Ad.
Apparently this is the beginning of the end of telegram.
Plastic world of endless advertising has won.

Anyway, can anyone recommend a good desktop+mobile messenger?

How? Reproducible even on empty pages or in the left toolbar:
