Currently, folder synch on Windows is done using the very naive and very slow WinRM communicator upload functionality, which can take tens of minutes to transfer many files (e.g. Puppet modules). This ticket is to explore changing the folder synchronization mechanism for Windows host/guest pairs to the built in SMB folder sync.
