Error message:

reading the cell content failed

Caused by:
- Cell CellId { type_id: ValueTypeId { id: 9, name: "turbo-tasks@TODO::::effect::EffectInstance" }, index: 0 } no longer exists in task <DiskFileSystem as FileSystem>::write (no cell of this type exists)

Debug info:
- Execution of hmr_update_with_issues_operation failed

I ran into this exact issue too, and found a fix:
Solution: Clear Turbopack’s cache

Try deleting the .next and .turbo folders manually:

rm -rf .next .turbo then start server npm run dev
