Advice on sync_list format to trigger correct inotify watch on multi level directory

Hi

I have a very simple config that isn't doing what I expect....and despite trying a few things I can't seem to get the sync_list correct. I feel this is just a config issue on my part rather than a bug so starting here with the hope that someone has seen this before.

System

Fedora Workstation 42

Package installed

onedrive.x86_64 2.5.5-1.fc42

Config file contents

sync_dir = "~/OneDrive_Cuttriss Consulting"
notify_file_actions="true"

Sync list contents

single-level/*
multi-level/sub-level/*

Observation

When I start onedrive as follows:
pcuttriss@fedora:~/.config/onedrive/accounts/Cuttriss Consulting$ onedrive --confdir=. --monitor --verbose --resync
I see in the logs:
Maximum allowed open files: 9223372036854775807
Maximum allowed inotify user watches: 61232
Initialising filesystem inotify monitoring ...
Monitoring directory: .
Monitoring directory: ./single-level
.
.
Including path - included by sync_list config: ./single-level
Skipping path - excluded by sync_list config: ./multi-level
Including path - included by sync_list config: ./multi-level/sub-level
Skipping path - excluded by sync_list config: ./multi-level/exclude

I don't understand why I don't see a monitor being set up on the ./multi-level/sub-level directory......is this something I am missing in setting up the sync_list?

The only place that inotify triggers and modifies the sync is in the ./single-level directory.

New items to upload to Microsoft OneDrive: 1
Total New Data to Upload: 0 Bytes
Uploading new file: single-level/file ... done
[M] Total number of local file(s) added or changed: 1

Anyone got any ideas on what I am doing wrong here?
